1. Introduction

This User Account Deletion Policy explains how users can request the deletion of their account and associated personal information from the application.

We respect the privacy and rights of our users and provide a clear process for requesting account deletion. Once an account deletion request is submitted and verified, the account and eligible personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and our data-retention obligations.

This policy applies to all registered users of the application, including users who access the service through a web browser, mobile application, or other supported platforms.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion:

1. Your account will be identified and verified.
2. Your account may be temporarily disabled while the deletion request is being processed.
3. Personal information associated with your account will be permanently deleted or anonymized where applicable.
4. Your login credentials and authentication information will be removed.
5. Your profile information will be deleted.
6. User-generated content that can be deleted will be removed.
7. Saved preferences and application settings associated with your account will be deleted.
8. Active sessions and authentication tokens will be invalidated.
9. Access to the account will be permanently revoked.
10. Certain information may be retained where required by law, for legitimate security purposes, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, accounting, or compliance requirements.

Account deletion is generally permanent and cannot be reversed after the deletion process has been completed.

3.2 Authentication Information

The following will be removed or invalidated:

• Refresh tokens
• Remember-me tokens
• Device sessions
• Social login associations
• Two-factor authentication information
• Authentication recovery information

3.3 Application Data

Where applicable, the following user-associated information may be deleted:

• Saved items
• Favorites
• Notifications
• Search history
• Preferences
• Drafts
• User-created records
• Uploaded files
• Personal documents
• Messages
• Comments
• Reviews
• User-generated content

3.4 Device Information

Where applicable, information associated with the user's account may be removed, including:

• Registered devices
• Push notification tokens
• Device associations
• Application sessions
